Factoring perfect square trinomials
· Perfect square trinomials are trinomials whose first and last terms are perfect squares and the middle terms are double of the product of their roots.
Example: Factor the following trinomial.
x^2 + 6x + 9
= x(x) + 2(3x) + 3(3)
= (x+3)^2
